Viaje de Negocios, his first short film in his home country of Mexico, premiered in competition at the 2024 Sundance Film Festival before screening at Sonoma, Milwaukee, LALIFF, Rooftop Films and Palm Springs.
In 2017 he was awarded a Sundance Ignite Fellowship for his short film La Visita. In 2019, his feature script Forgive us Sinners was accepted into the Sundance Feature Film Program through the Screenwriters Intensive Lab.
He co-owns boutique production company Thumper Films with his partner and creative collaborator Amandine Thomas.
He previously worked as a 1st Assistant Director on feature films such as Shiva Baby, Dating and New York, and Reality. In Mexico, he was an Assistant Director on Alejandro González Iñárritu’s Bardo, and served as the 2nd Unit Director for Luis Mandoki on Presencias.
